2.15.11. Check of sensors and pressure of oil

Check of sensors of pressure of oil of 0,3 bars

2 sensors of pressure of oil working with various pressure of oil are installed. The sensor of pressure of oil of 0,3 bars has brown isolation; the sensor of pressure of oil of 1,8 bars has white isolation. Instead of the sensor of pressure of oil of 1,8 bars, the diesel engine has the sensor of 0,9 bars with gray isolation.

4-cylinder engine

The sensor of pressure of oil of 0,3 bars is on the face party of a head of the block of cylinders at the left in a motor compartment. Sensors of pressure of oil 1,8 / 0,9 of bars are screwed from above on an arm of an oil filter.

5-cylinder engine

Both sensors of pressure of oil are on the left side of the block of cylinders before the directing opening of the index of level of oil.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To check oil level.
2. To check an electrical wiring of both sensors of pressure of oil according to the electrical circuitry.
3. To remove the sensor of pressure of oil of 0,3 bars (brown isolation).
4. Instead of the sensor of pressure of oil to screw in the suitable manometer.
5. If the measuring VW device is used, to screw the oil pressure sensor on the test device.

Prevention

The described check can be made if there is only an opportunity to twist the sensor in the manometer. Otherwise only sensors 1,8 / 0,9 of bars can be checked.


6. To connect the control device to weight(s).
7. To connect, by means of an additional wire, the device for voltage measurement (a multimeter or the diode indicator) to the sensor of pressure of oil 0,3 (A) and a positive pole of the rechargeable battery.
8. The control lamp or the light diode have to light up.
9. To start the engine and to gradually lift turns.
10. As soon as the manometer shows 0,15–0,45 bars, but no more, the control lamp dies away. Otherwise to replace the sensor of pressure of oil of 0,3 bars.

Prevention

If necessary to check the moment of operation of the sensor of pressure of oil at rotation of the engine a starter.


Sensors of pressure of oil 1,8 / 0,9 of bars
11. To disconnect an electrical wiring from the sensor 1,8/0,9 of bars (white / gray isolation).
12. By means of an additional wire to connect the device for voltage measurement (a multimeter or the diode indicator) to the sensor of pressure of oil 1,8 / 0,9 of bars and a positive pole of the rechargeable battery.
13. The control lamp should not burn.
Sensor of pressure of oil of 1,8 bars
14. To lift turns until the manometer shows from 1,6 to 1,8 bars. Now the control lamp has to light up, otherwise replace the oil pressure sensor.
Sensor of pressure of oil of 0,9 bars
15. To lift turns until the manometer shows from 0,75 to 1,05 bars. Now the control lamp has to light up, otherwise replace the oil pressure sensor.

Check of pressure of oil

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To lift turns to 2000 rpm. At a temperature of oil of 80 °C oil pressure on these turns has to make not less than 2,0 bars.
2. Smaller pressure of oil indicates wear of radical bearings of the crankshaft.
3. To lift turns it is even above. Pressure of oil should not exceed the most admissible value. Otherwise to replace a cover of the oil pump with the valve of excessive pressure.
4. To install the oil pressure sensor with a new sealing ring and to tighten the moment 25 N · m.
