Adjusting ruler and mandrel for check of a cam-shaft

Usually adjustment of gas distribution is made after repair at which the gear belt was removed. If gas distribution needs to be checked only, then all working operations are made without removal of a gear belt.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To remove the top casing of a gear belt and a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.
2. To mark the direction of the movement of a gear belt with the arrow applied on it with a felt-tip pen or a fatty pencil. The direction of rotation of the engine if to look in front, to the right, clockwise.
3. To install the crankshaft in the provision of VMT for 1 cylinder.

Prevention

At the same time not to rotate the engine for the central bolt of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft at all. Rotation of the crankshaft see in subsection 2.5.2.1.


4. The crankshaft costs in the provision of VMT for 1 cylinder if a tag on a flywheel (shooter) you coincide the corresponding tag on a coupling case (the drawing at the left). At the same time cam the couple first cylinder it is directed up (the drawing on the right).
5. In this situation in vents of a cam-shaft the range 2065 A is established. The ruler can be made and independently (see rice. An adjusting ruler and a mandrel for check of a cam-shaft).
6. To establish a ruler in cam-shaft vents. The adjusting ruler (VW-N2065A) interferes with possible scrolling of a cam-shaft.
7. To balance an adjusting ruler parallel to a head of the block of cylinders: for this purpose to turn a little the crankshaft until one end of an adjusting ruler does not lay down on a head of the block of cylinders. Under other end of a ruler by means of the petal probe to measure the arisen gap. To insert the petal probe equal to a half of the measured gap between an adjusting line and a head of the block of cylinders. To rotate the engine until the end of a ruler does not lay down on the probe. To enter the second petal probe of the same size under other end of a ruler – between a ruler and a head of the block of cylinders.
8. Now the mandrel of 2064 has to enter an opening of a gear wheel of the fuel pump of high pressure and an arm of the pump. The mandrel gets jammed TNVD gear wheel. The mandrel can be made most (see rice. An adjusting ruler and a mandrel for check of a cam-shaft).
9. If the mandrel is not inserted into an opening of an arm of the fuel pump of high pressure, then it is necessary to adjust the gas distribution mechanism again.
10. To weaken a nut of a tension roller and to weaken a gear belt.
11. To weaken maple a belt and to remove.
12. To unscrew a vibroquencher and a belt pulley of a water pomp. For this purpose to include the first transfer, to tighten the emergency brake, having jammed thereby the crankshaft.
13. To remove the lower casing of a gear belt.
14. To take off a gear belt.

Prevention

The gear belt has to be without anguishes. The torn belt has to be replaced surely since the rupture of a belt in operating time can lead to heavy breakages of the engine.

If at the taken-off gear belt it is necessary to turn a cam-shaft, then any piston should not be in VMT. Otherwise heavy breakages of pistons or valves are possible.


15. Before rotation of a cam-shaft it is necessary to install all pistons on identical height. For this purpose to put with chalk a tag at the top of a belt pulley of the crankshaft (a preliminary condition: the crankshaft costs in the provision of VMT for the cylinder), then to turn a belt pulley of the crankshaft on 1/4 turns (90 °) to the right or to the left. The cretaceous tag specifies to the right or to the left.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Through an opening in the transmission to check combination of a tag of VMT on a flywheel with the tag corresponding to it.
2. To weaken a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft on 1/2 turns. To bring down a driving gear wheel of a cam-shaft blow of the hammer to the thorn inserted into 6 mm an opening of a back casing of a gear belt.
3. To put on a gear belt.
4. To pull a gear belt.
5. To tighten a nut of a tension roller the moment of 45 N · m.
6. To remove TNVD gear wheel mandrel.
7. To tighten the screw of fastening of a driving gear wheel of a cam-shaft the moment of 45 N · m.

Prevention

If the old belt is used, by all means to observe the direction of the movement. Installation of a belt aside, to its movement can lead the return to a rupture of a belt and breakage of the engine. Therefore to establish a belt always so that the put arrow specified the direction of rotation of the engine (if to look in front, then clockwise).


8. To remove an adjusting ruler.
9. To turn the crankshaft on 2 turnovers of the direction of rotation of the engine. To strike a gear belt between a driving gear wheel of a cam-shaft and a gear wheel of TNVD the rubber hammer and to double-check the required value of a tension of a gear belt, if necessary to tighten.
10. To check the beginning of supply of TNVD fuel (see subsection 2.17.7.6).
11. To establish a vibroquencher, a belt pulley and the lower casing of a gear belt.
12. To establish laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, to screw a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. Nuts drag on the moment of 10 N · m.
13. To establish the top casing of a gear belt.
