Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To install the car on props.
2. To remove the lower casing of a motor compartment.
3. To remove the car from props.
4. To take off maple a belt.
5. To install the crankshaft in the provision of VMT, for the first cylinder. To rotate the crankshaft clockwise.
6. The crankshaft costs in VMT if the tag of a cogwheel of a cam-shaft coincides with a tag on a back casing of a gear belt.
7. At the same time the tag on a flywheel or the conducted clutch plate has to coincide with VMT tag. In the drawing both corresponding tags on a vibroquencher and on a casing of a gear belt are shown. These tags serve for adjustment of VMT on the removed engine.
8. To remove the top casing of a gear belt. By means of a felt-tip pen or a fatty pencil to put on a belt an arrow in the direction of its movement. The engine rotates if to look in front, to the right clockwise.
9. To weaken a gear belt (see subsection 2.5.1.3).
10. To unscrew a vibroquencher from a gear wheel of a gear belt of the crankshaft, having unscrewed 4 bolts of M8.
11. To take off a gear belt.

Prevention

The gear belt should not have cuts. The gear belt with cuts has to be replaced surely as in operating time it can tear that will lead to heavy damages of the engine.


12. Whenever possible not to change the provision of gear wheels of a gear belt.

Installation

Prevention

If the old gear belt is established, by all means to pay attention to the direction of the movement. Installation of a gear belt in the opposite direction can lead to its rupture and breakages of the engine!


1. To put on a gear belt a gear wheel of the crankshaft, bypass a roller and a water pomp.
2. To screw a vibroquencher 4 bolts the moment of 20 N · m.
3. To screw the lower casing of a gear belt. Otherwise to turn a cam-shaft so that the tag on a driving gear wheel of a cam-shaft coincided with the upper edge of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders.

Prevention

If the cam-shaft is turned at the taken-off, gear belt, then any piston should not be in VMT. Otherwise there can come heavy damages of pistons or valves.

If it is necessary to turn a cam-shaft, then before install all pistons on identical height. For this purpose to put from above on a belt pulley of the crankshaft a cretaceous tag (a preliminary condition: the crankshaft costs in the provision of VMT for 1 cylinder), then to turn a belt pulley of the crankshaft on 1/4 turns (90 °) to the left or to the right, being guided on a cretaceous tag.


4. To check position of the crankshaft in VMT for the 1st cylinder. In a viewing opening of a case of coupling the tag of BMT (0) on a flywheel standing precisely near the adjusting edging has to be visible.
5. If the gear belt is established on the removed engine, then the notch on a belt pulley has to coincide with an adjusting tag on a cover of a head of the block of cylinders. In this case the crankshaft is in the provision of VMT for 1 cylinder.
6. To put on a gear belt.

Prevention

At installation of a gear belt it is impossible to change the provision of a cam-shaft and the crankshaft. Otherwise the engine can sustain heavy damage or will not develop full capacity. After a tension of a gear belt to double-check the provision of a cam-shaft and the crankshaft. It means: if the tag on a cogwheel of a cam-shaft coincides with the top edging of laying of a cover of a head of the block of cylinders, then at the same time marking of VMT on a flywheel has to coincide with the tag corresponding to it. Otherwise to repeat adjustment of a driving gear wheel of a cam-shaft and gear wheel of the crankshaft.


7. To pull a gear belt.
8. To turn the crankshaft on 2 turnovers of the direction of its rotation and to double-check adjustment and a tension.
9. To establish the top casing of a gear belt.
10. To screw the tension device of a maple belt.
11. To establish and pull maple a belt.
12. To establish an engine mudguard.
13. At repairs which demand removal of a gear belt only from a cam-shaft cogwheel, to make adjustment of a gear belt as follows:
      – to install the crankshaft in the provision of VMT for 1 cylinder;
      – to weaken and take off a gear belt from a cam-shaft cogwheel;
      – to put on and pull a gear belt;
      – during repair not to change the provision of a cam-shaft and the crankshaft any more.
