The convergence is understood as side distance of wheels from each other. The convergence means that wheels at height of an average point are in front located more closely to each other, than behind. The negative convergence means that forward wheels are in front located a little further from each other, than behind. On VW T4 positive convergence is established.

Disorder and cross inclination шкворня reduce transfer of pushes from roughnesses of a paving by steering and provide perhaps smaller friction when overcoming turns.

Disorder is a corner and, a wheel plane deviation corner from a vertical. Thus forward wheels stand slantwise. At positive disorder, for example, in a point of contact of wheels with a basic surface is closer to each other, than above. VW T4 has positive disorder.

The convergence and disorder at VW T4 change depending on loading.

The cross inclination шкворня is b corner between a rotary axis of a rotary fist and a vertical in a point of contact of a wheel with a basic surface, rather longitudinal axis of the car.

Thanks to a corner of disorder and a corner of a cross inclination шкворня, points of a contact of wheels with a paving are brought closer to an axis of a rotary fist. It reaches small, so-called, a running in shoulder. The running in shoulder is less, the steering course is easier. Even blows of a paving affect system of levers of steering significantly less.

The longitudinal inclination шкворня is a corner between a rotary axis of a rotary fist and a vertical in a wheel inclination point with a basic surface, rather cross axis of the car.

The longitudinal inclination шкворня significantly influences an exit of forward wheels to a straight line. Too small inclination шкворня provides insufficient return of a wheel to average situation after overcoming turns or promotes its deviation from the direct direction on flat roads.

Check conditions:

  – the ordered pressure in tires;
  – a plain, horizontal surface at measurements;
  – the car in an empty state: it is not loaded, with a reserve wheel, a machine jack and a full tank;
  – car thoroughly podressorena;
  – steering is adjusted;
  – lack of inadmissible gaps in system of levers of steering;
  – lack of inadmissible gaps in a suspension bracket of wheels.
