1.19. Identification

Number of the engine and alphabetic reference are beaten out on the block of cylinders over an oil filter:

  – the 5-cylinder petrol engine – on the block of cylinders between 2 and 3 cylinders;
  – the 4-cylinder diesel engine – on the engine block between the fuel pump of high pressure (FPHP) and the vacuum pump;
  – the 5-cylinder diesel engine – on the block of cylinders near the fuel pump of high pressure (FPHP). Alphabetic reference of the engine is squeezed out from above on an inlet collector.
Prevention

At some engines the additional sticker with number of the engine and alphabetic references is on a protection of a gear belt from above.

Number of the chassis is put outside on the right under a windshield.
