2.16.3. Replacement of cooling liquid

Cooling liquid is required to be replaced only after repair at which it merged.

Replacement of cooling liquid within annual service is not provided.

If at repair the head of the block of cylinders, laying of a head of the block of cylinders, a radiator, the heat exchanger or the engine were replaced – anyway it is necessary to replace cooling liquid. It is required because corrosion additives during a running in accumulate on new light-alloy parts and, thereby, provide a strong anticorrosive layer.

In old cooling liquid the content of anticorrosive additives is small for formation of a sufficient protective layer on new details.

Prevention

The merged cooling liquid is unsuitable to repeated application. Cooling liquid is poisonous.

Discharge

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To establish heating on "warm" – heat, for this purpose to shift the regulator in salon up to the end to the right.
2. To install the car on props.
3. To remove the lower mudguard of a motor compartment.
4. To open a cover of a broad tank.

Prevention

At the hot engine before opening of a cover to cover it with a thick layer of rags to avoid burns from hot cooling liquid or steam. To open a cover only at a temperature of cooling liquid below 90 °C.

5. To put pure capacity under the engine or a radiator.
4-cylinder engine
6. To unscrew a carving stopper (1) and to remove hoses of cooling liquid (2).
7. To unscrew a flange (3) thermostats of cooling liquid.
5-cylinder diesel engine
8. To merge cooling liquid through a carving stopper (1) on a connecting pipe between a broad tank and the case of the thermostat of cooling liquid. Then to remove the thermostat (2 – shlangokhlazhdayushchy liquid, 3 – a flange of the thermostat of cooling liquid).
9. To completely merge cooling liquid.

Filling

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To tighten a carving stopper of discharge. To put on hoses of cooling liquid and to fix by collars. To install the thermostat. To screw a thermostat flange.
2. To establish the lower mudguard of a motor compartment.
3. To remove the car from props.
4. To gradually fill in cooling liquid to a tag "MOVE" on a broad tank.

Prevention

If on the top hose of heating there is a screw for production of air, to unscrew it. To fill in cooling liquid until it does not appear from an opening of production of air. To screw up the screw. If necessary again to add cooling liquid (to a tag "MOVE").

5. To close a broad tank.
6. To allow the engine to work, the fan will not turn on yet.
7. To kill the engine.
8. To check the level of cooling liquid, if necessary to add slightly above a tag "MOVE". At a working temperature of the engine the level of cooling liquid has to settle down a little above a tag "MOVE", on the cold engine, between tags "MOVE" and "MIN".
