Scheme of turning on of the generator

Arrangement of a maple gear belt of the 4-cylinder engine

Instead of the compressor of the conditioner the second generator can be installed.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To switch off ignition.
2. To disconnect a weight(s) cable from the rechargeable battery.
Prevention

After a detachment of the rechargeable battery memory of the radio receiver and electronic control units is erased. If the radio receiver is coded, then before a detachment of the rechargeable battery to remember a radio code. Without code, after connection of the rechargeable battery, the radio receiver will not work.
3. If is available, to disconnect an air hose behind on the generator.
4. To take off a protective cap, to disconnect a thick wire (V) and thin (D) (see rice. The scheme of turning on of the generator) from contacts (1) and (2).
5. 4-cylinder petrol engine: to weaken screws from a generator arm. For this purpose to insert 6 mm a key for screws with an internal hexagon in front, into an opening of a protection of a gear belt and to unscrew screws.
6. 5-cylinder engines and 4-cylinder diesel engine: to weaken screws on a generator arm.
7. To weaken and take off maple a belt.

8. The belt drive with a tension roller: to raise a tension roller by means of the VW 3299 lever or mount, to weaken maple a gear belt and to remove from a belt pulley of the generator.
9. The belt drive without tension roller: to press the generator down by means of the VW-3297 lever or mount, to weaken maple a gear belt and to remove from a belt pulley of the generator.
Prevention

Screws of an arm (1, 2) have to be weakened not less, than on 1 turn.
10. To unscrew screws of an arm of the generator and to remove the generator.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. To install the generator, to screw on an arm, but not to tighten.
2. If is available, to install the tension screw.
3. To check wear of a maple belt (see rice. Arrangement of a maple gear belt of the 4-cylinder engine), if necessary to replace.
4. To put on and pull maple, a gear belt on a generator pulley.
5. To tighten tension screws of an arm. Inhaling moments: to 9/92 – 35 N · m. Arm screws: at the 4-cylinder diesel engine: 50 N · m. With 10/92 – 25 N · m.
6. To connect an electrical wiring to the generator.
7. To connect a weight(s) cable to the rechargeable battery.
Prevention

To connect the rechargeable battery only at the switched-off ignition, otherwise the control unit of system of injection will fail.
8. To determine time on hours.
9. To enter an anticreeping code into the radio receiver.
